Virgin Island Fossil Coral Ornaments
Supplied with a ready tied ribbon and a beautiful bow (each individually hand
tied) they're all set to go.
Originally designed with Christmas Trees in mind, these little
ornaments are also a great reminder of Summer Days and Tropical Nights.
Crafted in the British Virgin Islands making use of genuine local fossil coral,
they're real Caribbean Treasures.
Virgin Island Fossil Coral Ornaments are not painted...
First the relief is made and then the base, tinted with a different color, is added afterwards. Every ornament is completely hand made. The technique of the artisan in laying in the relief, the batch of white fossil coral prepared for use, the temperature, the humidity, all affect how the colors and the coral will flow and thus the final result. No two will ever be exactly the same. All our pieces are all individually made. The Coral Studio employs no mass production techniques, only skilled craftsmen.

Ornament or Medallion?
Although we have named them Ornaments, there is no reason why these little miniatures or medallions should not be placed or hung anywhere you would like to put them. For example, they would make a great show running down a staircase. Many people also keep a special wall space for mounting little pictures and souvenirs from trips around the world. These miniatures / medallions are definitely of a quality to be placed in any fine living room, hall, library, dining room or bed chamber.
Colors and Styles
Currently we make 8 different styles of ornament. Sail Boat, Dolphin, Dove, Palm Tree, Sand Dollar, Seahorse, Sun, and Turtle .
They come in many different colors including: Aquamarine Blue, Caribbean Blue, Celadon Green, Fire Coral Yellow, Cup Coral Yellow, Hot Pink Fuchsia, Sea Fan Purple, Tropical Rose,
Sea Mint Green, Olive Green, Coral Red and Wedgwood Blue.
